The project will create dozens of jobs and strengthen the country\u2019s position in the high technology market.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of strengthening the economic partnership with Japan, the Kazakh ERG Group entered into an important agreement with the Mitsubishi Corporation. The agreement concerns the supply of strategic <a href=\"https:\/\/geoconversation.org\/metally-v-tvoem-smartfone\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">metal<\/a> &#8211; gallium. The implementation of this project was made possible thanks to large-scale investments exceeding 12.5 billion tenge.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The production site will be created on the basis of the Pavlodar aluminum smelter. The company&#8217;s specialists will extract valuable gallium from solutions used in the production of alumina. For this purpose, ERG Research and Development\u2019s own unique technology is used. This method is highly efficient and allows you to obtain gallium even at its minimum concentration in solution. The technology not only produces a new product, but also improves the quality of the main production, reducing losses of raw materials.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The capacity of the new production will be up to 15 tons of gallium per year. This volume will bring Kazakhstan to second place in the world in terms of its production. Already in the third quarter of 2026, it is planned to receive the first batch of metal. The project will also create about 70 new skilled jobs for residents of the region.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gallium is a critical material for modern industry. Without it, the production of many high-tech devices is impossible. It is widely used in semiconductors, complex electronics and advanced materials. The conclusion of a long-term contract with a Japanese partner shows the growing integration of Kazakhstan into global production chains. The country is making a confident step from exporting raw materials to supplying finished products with high added value.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This ambitious project is a clear example of how <a href=\"https:\/\/geoconversation.org\/intervyu-s-borisom-kurczevym-chto-nuzhno-dlya-uspeha-startapa\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">investments<\/a> in technology and processing are changing the role of Kazakhstan in the global economy.
