The Vernadsky Geological Museum presented a documentary film about the future of mining production<\/a>. Scientists have explored whether it is possible to combine industrial development with nature conservation. Answers were sought in different regions of the country – from Altai to the Urals.<\/p>\n\n\n

The museum team went on an expedition to find out if it was possible to completely abandon mining. In the era of green energy, this question is especially relevant. Solar panels, electric vehicles, and wind turbines require dozens of different metals and minerals. Without the mining industry, modern civilization cannot exist.<\/p>\n\n\n

The specialists visited Gornyak in Altai, Karabash in the Chelyabinsk region and Verkhnyaya Pyshma in the Sverdlovsk region. They studied advanced technologies for the extraction and processing of raw materials. Scientists have become convinced that modern enterprises are actively implementing environmental standards, closed water supply systems and land reclamation.<\/p>\n\n\n

The documentary \u201cMining Smart\u201d shows real examples of a responsible approach to industry. The film was created with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and the Russian Copper Company as part of the Decade of Science and Technology.<\/p>\n\n\n

This project is the beginning of an important dialogue about the future of industry. Science proves that developing the economy and protecting nature are compatible tasks. Modern technologies make it possible to extract resources with minimal impact on the environment.<\/p>\n\n\n
