The Russian company Almazy Pomorsky Krai presented a unique IT development – the Proex-Geology platform. This decision radically changes the approach to geological exploration<\/a>, allowing you to find diamond deposits with high accuracy and significantly reduce financial costs.<\/p>\n\n\n

The Almazy Pomorsky Krai company has developed an innovative IT platform Proex-Geology for searching for diamond deposits. This system, created since the early 2000s with the participation of students from Severodvinsk and experienced geologists, combines the capabilities of several well-known geological packages, such as ArcGIS and Geosoft, in a single digital space.<\/p>\n\n\n

The platform includes about 450 software modules. Its key function is the integration and comprehensive analysis of heterogeneous data: geophysical, geochemical and cartographic. Thanks to this, the system builds accurate 3D models of underground objects, visualizes their shape and determines their depth.<\/p>\n\n\n

Of particular value is the tool for digitizing and studying archival aeromagnetic surveys carried out during the Soviet period. This makes it possible to identify ancient geological structures, often associated with kimberlite pipes – the main sources of diamonds.<\/p>\n\n\n

The company’s CEO emphasizes that using the Proex-Geology platform allows you to accurately identify promising areas for intelligence<\/a>. This targeted approach is fundamentally different from the traditional method, where drilling operations are often carried out at random. Previously, only every eleventh exploration well was successful. Now the amount of expensive field work can be significantly reduced.<\/p>\n\n\n

It is important that only eight specialists are required to operate the platform, which further reduces operating costs. This makes the search for new deposits not only more efficient, but also economically profitable.<\/p>\n\n\n

The implementation of the Proex-Geology IT platform opens a new page in mineralogy. The technology not only speeds up and reduces the cost of the exploration process, but also increases its accuracy, which is especially important for the development of the mining industry in Russia.<\/p>\n\n\n
