Its extreme purity opens up new possibilities for high-power battery production and high-tech industries.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Australian company Sarytogan Graphite Limited announced outstanding results of geological exploration at the Karaganda field. The first 20 holes drilled showed not only a huge volume of ore, but also its extraordinary quality. The content of valuable mineral in samples ranges from 30% to a record 41%.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The main discovery is the phenomenal purity of the mined graphite. Laboratory tests have found that after thermal cleaning, the carbon content in it reaches 99.9992%. This indicator makes Kazakhstani graphite a strategically important world-class raw material.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company&#8217;s managing director, Sean Gregory, called the deposit unique. He noted that drilling confirmed the presence of thick layers of high-quality graphite. This opens up enormous prospects for the region\u2019s economy and technological development.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Experts emphasize that Sarytogan is one of the richest graphite deposits on the planet. His <a href=\"https:\/\/geoconversation.org\/geoconversation-org-standarty-zapasov\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">stocks<\/a> are estimated at 8.6 million tons of ore, almost a third of the world&#8217;s total. This volume will be enough for development for at least 60 years.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The discovery of graphite of record purity in Kazakhstan is of great practical importance. This premium material is critical to the next generation of lithium-ion batteries used in electric vehicles and energy storage systems.
