New technology has made it possible to reduce the labor intensity of this complex process by five times. This is a serious step in the development of the domestic jewelry industry.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The process is now built into a single technological chain, where most operations are performed by equipment. This starts with an accurate scan of the original diamond. A special scanner creates a detailed 3D model that displays not only the external shape, but also the internal structure of the stone. The system records all the features and the smallest inclusions.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Based on this data, the computer builds a digital model and offers dozens of cutting options. The program calculates as from one <a href=\"https:\/\/geoconversation.org\/rajony-dobychi-almazov-v-rossii\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">diamond<\/a> you can get one or more diamonds of different shapes. The main task at this stage is to maximize the final market value of finished products. The final choice from the options proposed by the algorithm is made by an expert technologist.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the cutting plan is approved, the machines come into operation. The laser machine cuts the diamond with the highest precision and gives the future diamond its basic shape.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The key final stage &#8211; the final cutting &#8211; is left to the experienced craftsmen of the Kristall plant. It is their hands and skills that bring each stone to perfect condition, achieving impeccable symmetry and the highest quality of polishing. However, modern control systems now help craftsmen too. They use scanners to check parameters, devices for online evaluation of polishing, and special \u201cnavigators\u201d that help maintain precise edge angles.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The introduction of automation at the Smolensk Kristall plant can significantly increase productivity without loss of quality.
