In September alone, the price of the precious metal rose by 6%, reaching $3,640 per ounce. Analysts at leading banks are revising their forecasts upward, expecting further growth.

This year gold showed impressive growth of 39%, strengthening its status as a top defensive asset. Reaching $3,700 per ounce for the first time in history was made possible thanks to the weakening dollar and mixed macroeconomic data from the United States. Consumer inflation exceeded expectations in August and jobless claims rose unexpectedly, indicating a cooling labor market.

Global central banks continue to increase gold reserves, and investment funds (ETFs) recorded inflows for the third month in a row. UBS adjusted its year-end forecast to $3,800 an ounce and for 2026 to $3,900. Goldman Sachs expects to reach $4,000 by mid-2026.

At the same time, Alfa Bank maintains a conservative estimate, predicting the average price in 2025 at $3,300 per ounce.
