From September 7 to 17, the III International Geological Championship \u201cGeoChallenge\u201d, organized by Rosnedra and the Regional Government, will be held here.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is expected that 38 teams &#8211; about 300 people &#8211; will compete in the competition. Among them are 22 teams from Russian regions and 16 from foreign countries, including Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, China, Egypt, South Africa and others.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;GeoChallenge&#8221; is aimed at popularizing geological professions, developing students&#8217; skills and strengthening connections between <a data-id=\"https:\/\/geoconversation.org\/skolko-zarabatyvayut-geologi\/\" data-type=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/geoconversation.org\/skolko-zarabatyvayut-geologi\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">young specialists<\/a> and employers. Participants will not only be able to demonstrate their knowledge, but also get a chance to get an internship at leading companies in the industry.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The championship includes 12 disciplines, including:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Radiometry\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Mineralogy and petrography\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Paleontology\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Hydrogeology\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Oil and gas\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Crystallography\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to the competition, participants will enjoy excursions around Ufa and the natural attractions of Bashkortostan, meetings with representatives of subsoil user companies and participation in the \u201cRace of Heroes\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On September 8, the official opening will take place with the participation of the head of Rosnedra Oleg Kazanov and the Head of the Republic Radiy Khabirov.
