The project has already received approval from Glavgosexpertiza, and preparatory work has already started.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The engineering center of the mining division of Rosatom &#8211; JSC VNIPIpromtekhnologii &#8211; successfully passed the examination and received a positive conclusion for the development of the Shirondukui deposit. It is located in Krasnokamensk and is part of the Streltsovsky uranium ore district.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The customer of the project is PJSC PIMCU named after E.P. Slavsky, one of Rosatom\u2019s key uranium mining enterprises. Experts conducted detailed studies, including engineering surveys and <a data-id=\"https:\/\/geoconversation.org\/geohimiya-poisk\/\" data-type=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/geoconversation.org\/geohimiya-poisk\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">sample analysis<\/a>, which made it possible to develop an optimal scheme for the development of the field. The technical design has already been agreed upon with Rosnedra.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Construction of the surface complex will begin this year, and work on preparing the underground mine will also continue. This is necessary to open up the deposit and ensure uninterrupted production.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt is planned that the first batches of uranium will be received in 2028,\u201d notes the Rosatom press service.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The development of the Shirondukui deposit will strengthen Russia\u2019s position in the global uranium market and provide raw materials for the country\u2019s nuclear industry.
