Investments will increase cargo turnover and improve infrastructure, which will strengthen the position of the Northern Sea Route.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Until 2030, Norilsk Nickel will invest 21.5 billion rubles in the modernization of the port of Dudinka, located in the north of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. This unique port operates all year round, despite the harsh Arctic conditions, and plays a key role in the company&#8217;s cargo transportation, providing northern and international deliveries. Up to 4 million tons of cargo pass through it annually.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">New investments will increase the port&#8217;s capacity to 5 million tons per year. It is planned to build additional berths and upgrade equipment. This will increase logistics efficiency and speed up cargo processing.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, Norilsk Nickel will allocate 26 billion rubles for the development of the ports of Krasnoyarsk and Lesosibirsk, as well as the Yenisei River Shipping Company. Part of the funds &#8211; 10 billion rubles &#8211; will be used for the construction of new barges for transporting goods.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These steps will strengthen the infrastructure of the Northern Sea Route and the Yenisei River, which is especially important for increasing cargo traffic to the Asia-Pacific region. Modernization of the ports of Dudinka and Dikson will also create multimodal hubs that will improve shipping safety and open up new economic opportunities for the Arctic.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The development of port infrastructure is an important part of the strategy of Norilsk Nickel and the state. As presidential aide Nikolai Patrushev noted, the Northern Sea Route plays a key role in the economy of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, where <a data-id=\"https:\/\/geoconversation.org\/intervyu-s-borisom-kurczevym-chto-nuzhno-dlya-uspeha-startapa\/\" data-type=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/geoconversation.org\/intervyu-s-borisom-kurczevym-chto-nuzhno-dlya-uspeha-startapa\/\">investment projects<\/a> by 12 trillion rubles.
