This was reported by CT24 TV channel.

The beavers chose to build a drainage canal on the territory of a former military training ground. Previously, the authorities planned to transform this zone to improve the ecosystem, but the process was delayed due to bureaucratic procedures. As a result, the rodents solved the problem on their own, using young aspen trees as building material.

“A beaver can build a dam in one or two nights and does not require construction permits, water use or financing. A person, even with technology, will need at least a week,” said zoologist Jiri Vlcek.

According to Money.pl, thanks to the actions of beavers, the area is now swamped, which will help restore the natural balance. At the same time, the authorities saved up to 30 million Czech crowns, which were planned to be spent on the implementation of the project.

Source: telegram channel kontext_channel

Czech beavers have once again proven their effectiveness: in just two days they built several dams in the Brda conservation area, while local authorities have been discussing this project since 2018.
