According to preliminary data from the Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences, a seismic event of magnitude 5.5 was recorded at 01:37 local time. The epicenter was located 107 kilometers from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The source of the earthquake, according to initial information, was located at a depth of about 48 kilometers. Local residents from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Elizov and Vilyuchinsk reported that the tremors were noticeable and caused significant concern.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The seismic event was a reminder of the region&#8217;s seismic activity, highlighting the need to be prepared for such events.
