Mine supervisors no longer need to return to the office to find out why an excavator is idle or where a water truck is stuck. They can simply ask the system a question by voice, and MAXI will find the relevant information and suggest a solution.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MAXI works across a range of devices, from smartphones to desktop computers. Its built-in voice input allows users to ask questions in natural language rather than relying on complex commands. The assistant is powered by the MaxMine analytics platform, which collects real-time data from mining equipment operating across open-pit operations.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/geoconversation.org\/en\/artificial-intelligence-in-seismic-exploration-how-geophysicists-work-is-changing\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/geoconversation.org\/ai-seismic-interpretation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The AI<\/a> does more than answer questions. It continuously monitors the fleet and detects anomalies ranging from sudden equipment failures to gradual declines in productivity. Over time, the system can generate predictive alerts, warning operators about potential problems before they result in downtime and recommending specific actions to address them.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For supervisors who spend their shifts in the pit, the system could significantly streamline operational control. Instead of traveling back to an office and working through spreadsheets, they can access live analytics directly from the field. A supervisor can ask how many trips a water truck has made to a refueling point or what an excavator&#8217;s current productivity rate is. If a queue of haul trucks builds up at a loading face because of difficult digging conditions, MAXI can automatically detect the bottleneck, alert the supervisor, and suggest ways to redistribute equipment.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With MAXI, real-time operational control is moving directly from the office to the mine face.
