LLC Aurora-Resurs, which is linked to the Pertinj\u00e4rvi gold deposit, has come under its control. The deal closed in mid-October, and since the 20th, MKPAO Areal has been acting as the managing organization.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The buyer of the 75% stake was Cross Holding, part of the group. According to Rosnedra archive data as of March 2021, Pertinj\u00e4rvi\u2019s C2-category reserves were estimated at 4.431 tonnes of gold. No more recent estimate is publicly available, and <a href=\"https:\/\/geoconversation.org\/en\/what-is-wrong-with-gold-mining-in-russia-2024-results-and-key-trends\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/geoconversation.org\/trendy-zoloto\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">commercial mining<\/a> at the deposit is not yet under way.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Analyst Maxim Shaposhnikov estimates the project\u2019s potential value at RUB 300\u2013500 million. He names heap leaching as one option for processing the ore, but stresses that the technology\u2019s applicability has yet to be confirmed by testing.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To put the scale in perspective: in 2025, Areal\u2019s operations produced 30.3 tonnes of gold. Against that backdrop the <a href=\"https:\/\/geoconversation.org\/en\/all-gold-mining-methods-from-panning-to-biotechnology\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/geoconversation.org\/sposoby-dobychi-zolota\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">new asset<\/a> looks modest, but it is important as a step into a new region and an addition to the resource base.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pertinj\u00e4rvi is still at an early stage: the reserves require confirmation, the processing technology needs testing, and mining needs to be launched.
