Gazprom Neft presented a unique digital platform for data analysis in field design. The new online service speeds up information processing by 200 times and increases data transfer speed by 10 times.
The industry’s first Russian system for collecting, storing and processing data for engineering surveys began operating at the Gazprom Neft field in Eastern Siberia. The development allows us to significantly speed up the process of designing field infrastructure.
Design begins with collecting data about the terrain, soils, proximity of bodies of water, roads and other parameters. This information is necessary for choosing design solutions and location of infrastructure facilities. Previously, the engineering and survey phase took up to a year, but the new service automates processes that were previously performed manually or using disparate programs.
The digital system provides instant access to data and analytics tools via satellite communications, allowing engineers to work from anywhere in Russia. This significantly increases the efficiency and quality of decision making.
The implementation of the platform will simplify the work of designers and geologists, and will also reduce the launch time of large projects by an average of a month. The development belongs to the Russian startup Soilbox, a graduate of the Gazprom Neft Industry accelerator.
According to Alexey Ogorodov, head of the technological development department at Gazprom Neft, the system will help automate complex processes and increase the efficiency of implementing large-scale projects.
General Director of Gazpromneft-Development Vladimir Krupenikov noted that digitalization is a key trend in the industry. The company actively invests in IT solutions that optimize production processes.
Earlier, Krupenikov reported that Gazprom Neft specialists are developing a digital model to predict changes in permafrost until 2050. This will ensure the reliability of infrastructure facilities in permafrost conditions.
Gazprom Neft’s new digital system is an important step in the development of field design technologies. It not only speeds up processes, but also increases their accuracy, which is especially important for the implementation of large projects in difficult climatic conditions.
