Gazprom Neft included in its educational program two new schools – Physics and Mathematics Lyceum No. 40 from St. Petersburg and School No. 15 from Tyumen. Now more than 5 thousand schoolchildren from different regions of Russia will have access to modern laboratories, IT classes and professional training centers.
The Gazprom Neft League of Schools continues to expand: educational institutions from St. Petersburg and Tyumen have joined the project. This will increase the coverage of the program to 5 thousand students, including schoolchildren from Orenburg and the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug.
The main goal of the initiative is to give students access to up-to-date knowledge, and teachers – to advanced teaching methods. As part of the project, schoolchildren participate in case championships, career guidance events and excursions to company enterprises. In addition, Gazprom Neft experts give them lessons in mathematics, physics and chemistry.
Anna Koroleva, head of the HR department at Gazprom Neft, noted that the project helps to form personnel reserve for the oil and gas industry, awakening interest in the profession from an early age. Mikhail Cherevko, head of oil service companies, added that cooperation with schools contributes to the influx of young specialists with innovative thinking.
Director of Lyceum No. 40 Natalya Milyukova emphasized that partnership with the company will allow students to better understand the profession and motivate them to enter specialized universities. The director of school No. 15, Irina Nosova, expressed confidence that participation in the project will help schoolchildren develop skills that are in demand in the modern economy.
Today, the Gazprom Neft League of Schools includes educational institutions from St. Petersburg, Tyumen, Orenburg and Megion. Next, the company plans to expand the project to 20 schools, increasing coverage to 15 thousand students.
