On field named after Vladimir Grib, two unique diamonds weighing 55.96 and 135.75 carats were mined in the Arkhangelsk region. This was reported by the press service of the company “AGD DIAMONDS”.
Governor Alexander Tsybulsky clarified in his telegram channel that these stones became the 50th and 51st unique diamonds in the entire history of the quarry’s development. Both crystals are distinguished by their high transparency, purity and well-preserved natural form. The found diamonds added to the collection of especially valuable finds of the current year.
The company continues to delight with unique finds. Back in the fall, a diamond weighing 340 carats was discovered here, which entered the top five largest Russian diamonds and set an absolute record for deposits named after Mushroom.
This year turned out to be particularly productive for the entire Russian diamond mining industry. In May, ALROSA announced the production of a gem-quality diamond weighing 468.30 carats in Yakutia. This crystal became one of the largest in the modern history of domestic diamond mining.
The regular discovery of large diamonds confirms the rich potential of Russian deposits and the high professionalism of specialists working in this industry.
