The average monthly income of employees in the Russian coal industry showed one of the most significant declines in August. Current statistics published by EMISS indicate serious negative trends in the segment of coal and anthracite mining and beneficiation.
According to the analysis of information, workers in the coal mining industry began to receive an average of 126.6 thousand rubles. Just a year earlier wages was significantly higher and reached 142.3 thousand rubles. Thus, the reduction in income was more than 11%. This indicator placed the coal industry among the outsider industries in terms of wage dynamics.
Larger declines were recorded in only two professional fields. For investment fund employees, the average salary decreased by 37%, reaching 112.9 thousand rubles. Private detectives also faced a reduction in their earnings by approximately 25%, which dropped to the level of 81.2 thousand rubles.
Negative dynamics also affected other areas. In the production of gaseous fuels and in the production of refractory products, average salaries decreased by approximately 4%, amounting to 87.1 and 85.3 thousand rubles, respectively.
The information presented allows us to conclude that the situation on the labor market has changed in certain sectors of the economy. A decrease in income in such significant industries as coal mining requires a careful analysis of the reasons and may affect personnel policy and socio-economic planning in these areas.
