The XXVII conference “Sergeev Readings” will be held on April 2–3, 2026 at the State Geological Museum named after V.I. Vernadsky, organized by the Scientific Council of the Russian Academy of Sciences for Geoecology, Engineering geology and hydrogeology in memory of Academician Evgeniy Sergeev.
During the sessions, participants will discuss geoecological methodology, assessing the impact of natural processes, modeling and waste management, as well as issues of adaptation to climate change. Particular attention will be paid to geoecological research in urban and mining areas.
Key dates:
- until December 16, 2025 – registration of participants with a report and acceptance of materials;
- until January 31, 2026 – notification of acceptance of reports;
- until March 1, 2026 – formation of a program of oral presentations;
- until March 10, 2026 – registration of listeners.

“Sergeev Readings” annually brings together leading scientists, engineers and ecologists of Russia. The conference serves as a platform for the exchange of experience, where not only fundamental issues of geoecology are discussed, but also practical solutions – from the prevention of dangerous natural processes to the restoration of territories after industrial impact.
