Yakovlevsky GOK, which is part of Severstal PJSC, continues to introduce innovations in the field of industrial technologies. In 2024-2025, the company will allocate over 460 million rubles to improve safety at the mine.

In 2024, Yakovlevsky GOK began implementing major projects to improve safety levels. One of the innovations was special head lamps for miners, equipped with video cameras. These devices not only provide lighting, but also record the actions of workers, which makes it possible to monitor compliance with all safety standards. The system is in test mode, and video surveillance based on machine vision is used to improve its efficiency.

In addition, nine video cameras have been installed to monitor compliance with safety standards. In case of violation of the rules, the dispatcher receives a signal and sends a warning to the employee’s individual lamp.

This year the mining and processing plant is implementing several more large projects. One of them is the modernization of the collision avoidance system for mining equipment. New monitors that will be installed on the machines will help more accurately determine the location of employees and objects near the equipment. This will reduce the risk of accidents and improve operational safety.

Another important project is the creation of a vacuum installation for collecting spills. This equipment will help reduce dust and keep employees from working in hazardous areas.

Yakovlevsky GOK continues to invest in the safety of its workers, introducing modern technologies to improve efficiency and protection. The projects being implemented not only improve working conditions, but also reduce the risk of accidents, which confirms the high level of responsibility of the company.
