The exhibition was based on colorless diamonds of the highest categories. But the main interest of the guests was caused by rare specimens with a natural yellow tint. Two large fancy-colored stones weighing almost 12 and just over 10 carats have become the center of attention of collectors. Next to them were displayed colorless diamonds weighing more than 10 carats with perfect clarity.
A special feature of the Surgut show was the demonstration of diamond sets. These are specially assembled sets of several stones identical in color, clarity and cut. Such sets are valued higher on the market than individual diamonds of similar quality, since they are extremely difficult to assemble. Four unique sets were presented in Surgut.
The most expensive set was estimated at 120 million rubles. It included six colorless diamonds, two of which were large pear-shaped stones weighing more than 10 carats. The buyer of such a set receives a flexible asset. If necessary, stones can be sold either together or separately, adapting to the market situation.
