JSC “Buribaevsky Mining and Processing Plant” won the auction for the right to develop deposits in Bashkiria, paying 872.6 million rubles. Plot subsoil contains significant reserves of gold, copper, zinc and silver, which makes it promising for industrial mining.
The initial price of the lot was 793.3 million rubles, but during the auction the price increased by 79.3 million. The company is obliged to transfer the full amount within a month. The obtained license is valid for 25 years and allows geological exploration, mining, as well as processing waste.
Plot area 5.45 sq. km is located in the Khaibullinsky district, 5 km from the village of Podolsk. Its advantage is the absence of federal and protected areas, which simplifies the development process.
According to geological exploration, reserves include:
- Category C1: 5.4 million tons of ore containing 60.9 thousand tons of copper, 85.6 thousand tons of zinc, 5.9 tons of gold and 97 tons of silver.
- Category C2: 10.1 million tons of ore, 130.7 thousand tons of copper, 210.4 thousand tons of zinc, 5 tons of gold and 217 tons of silver.
The predicted resources are even higher, which increases the investment attractiveness of the project.
Within a year after receiving a license, the Buribayevsky GOK must agree on a program of geological exploration work, which can last up to five years. The company also undertakes to prepare projects for conservation and land reclamation one year before the expiration of the license.
As Vladimir Nikonov noted, acting. O. Head of the Department of Geology at Ufa University, the deposit belongs to the Yuzhno-Podolsk area, where Rosgeologiya previously worked. Despite the deep occurrence of the ore, this did not stop investors.
For comparison: in 2024, the Geo Genesis company acquired a plot in Sibay for 29.2 million rubles, which is 30 times less than the amount of the current transaction.
The development of the new field will create jobs and increase tax revenues to the budget of Bashkiria. The extraction of valuable metals will strengthen the region’s position in the Russian mining industry.
