The Chinese corporation “Xuan Yuan” plans to build a unique cable car to transport coal from the Amur region to China. The project involves the use of environmentally friendly technologies and automated systems, which will significantly speed up and reduce the cost of fuel logistics.

The construction of the cable car will be a key element in the development of cross-border logistics between Russia and China. The project is being implemented by the Chinese corporation Xuan Yuan with the support of the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation. Negotiations on this issue took place at a meeting in Blagoveshchensk.

The innovative transport system will be completely closed and automated. Coal transportation will be carried out using monorail modules powered by electricity from solar panels and wind generators. This approach will minimize environmental impact and reduce operating costs.

The creation of a new logistics infrastructure is directly related to the development of Ogodzhinsky deposits in the Amur region. Its reserves exceed 1.5 billion tons of coal. The Elga company is engaged in mining here.

By 2028, they plan to launch a powerful enrichment complex of seven factories at the field. Their total productivity will be 32 million tons of coal per year. The bulk of this volume is intended for export to Asian countries, primarily China.

To ensure transportation, the region’s transport network is already being developed. In October, the first batch of coal was sent along a new railway line to the Fevralsk station in the Amur region. The cable car will complement these routes and create a reliable supply chain.

The implementation of the cable car project will strengthen economic ties between the Amur region and China. It will open up new opportunities for the development of the coal industry and related sectors.

The construction of an environmentally friendly transport corridor emphasizes the mutual interest of Russia and China in modern technological solutions. This contributes to the sustainable development of border areas and increased trade turnover.

The material was prepared with the support of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science as part of the Decade of Science and Technology.
