Drilling Confirms Geophysical Anomaly at New Boston Project

Canadian junior exploration company VR Resources Limited has reported drilling results from its New Boston project in Nevada, USA.

The project is associated with a porphyry-skarn polymetallic system. According to the company, drill hole NB26-003 intersected a long mineralized interval from surface, returning 317 metres at 0.77% CuEq. But the drilling result itself is not the only point of interest — the way the target was selected is just as significant.

The hole tested a target identified through 3D DCIP geophysical surveying. At the Jeep Mine area, coincident chargeability and resistivity anomalies pointed to a potentially mineralized zone. The geophysical target was then tested by drilling.

The result confirmed that the geophysical anomaly is associated with a real mineralized system. It is a useful example of how geophysics works in mineral exploration: not simply as a visual layer in a technical report, but as a tool for selecting drill targets and reducing project uncertainty.

For junior exploration companies, such results are particularly important. They generally do not have producing mines yet, so project value is built progressively through geological modeling, geophysics, geochemistry, drilling, and new data. Here, the logic is clear: geophysics helped identify a prospective target, drilling tested it, and the published result became another step in advancing the project.

This is how exploration companies demonstrate to the market that a project is moving forward and that its potential is becoming better defined.

Company Profile

VR Resources Limited is a Canadian junior exploration company headquartered in Vancouver. The company evaluates, explores, and develops copper, gold, and critical-metals projects in Nevada, USA, and Ontario, Canada.

VR Resources focuses on large mineral systems at early stages of exploration and uses modern exploration technologies, including geophysics and geochemistry, to identify and evaluate prospective targets.

The company’s shares trade on the TSX Venture Exchange under the ticker VRR, on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange under 5VR0, and on the US OTCQB over-the-counter market under VRRCF.
