Mineral exploration teams now have a chance to present their projects at one of the industry’s key events of the year. The First Junior Accelerator has opened applications for projects seeking to take part in a pitch session at MINEX Russia 2026 on October 8 in Moscow. Selected participants will present their assets to investors, mining companies, funds, and banks. Applications are open until October 1, and participation is free of charge.
Organizers are looking for two types of projects. The first category covers technology solutions for the mining industry, particularly those designed for early-stage exploration. These include data- and AI-based tools, drones for airborne geophysics, ground robotics, portable analyzers and field laboratories, specialized chemicals, and software for planning and monitoring field operations.
The second category covers mineral exploration projects in Russia. Applications are welcome from projects at the prospecting, evaluation, and exploration stages. Priority will be given to gold, silver, copper, polymetallics, and other metals. Subsoil users can apply if they hold a license, have a geological study project or exploration plan, and have a team and supporting materials demonstrating the project’s potential.
The requirements for technology solutions are stricter. Applicants must have at least a working prototype, while teams with pilot deployments at operating mining companies will have an advantage. Because the presentation is aimed at investors, applicants will also need to address questions about the market, business model, and current funding round.
Selected teams will receive consulting support, a presentation template, and a preparation checklist for the pitch. Those who are not yet ready to take the stage can choose a second format: participation without a pitch, with a banner displayed in the session area and an opportunity to hold meetings at the venue.
Applications can be submitted by completing the form and attaching a presentation or teaser. Multiple projects may be submitted by the same applicant. Organizers stress that submitting an application does not guarantee participation: projects will be screened by the accelerator team, and each applicant will receive a decision.
The MINEX Russia 2026 pitch session offers a rare opportunity for junior exploration companies and technology startups to present themselves to a professional industry audience. Participation is free, and applications remain open until October 1.
