The NPO RIVS company has completed the implementation of an innovative system for controlling the size and productivity of crushed ore at Karelsky Okatysh. The solution improves measurement accuracy and simplifies control of the enrichment process.
RIF granulometers, developed by RIVS, are installed on two key conveyors of the plant. The system analyzes the composition of crushed ore in real time, records its bulk density and transmits the data to the process control system.
The operating principle is simple: laser sensors scan the surface of the ore flow, making up to 4,000 measurements per second. This allows a detailed material profile to be obtained even at high belt speeds.
An additional advantage is that the system can replace belt scales if you set the bulk density parameter. At the same time, the RIF granulometer is compact, resistant to dust and does not require lighting, which simplifies its operation.
The technology is already being successfully used not only in Karelia, but also at the Kola MMC, Buribaevsky and Udachninsky mining and processing plants.
The implementation of the RIVS system at Karelsky Okatysh confirms its effectiveness in the mining and processing industry. The development helps optimize production and reduce the cost of ore quality control
