15 mineral deposits will be put up for auction
The Federal Agency for Subsoil Use (Rosnedra) has announced plans to hold auctions for 15 sites with solid mineral reserves in 2025. Research in these areas was funded from the federal budget as part of the project “Geology: Revival of a Legend” in the period from 2022 to 2024.
Deposits with confirmed reserves and predicted resources of gold, silver, lead, copper, zinc, iron, bentonite and graphite are offered for participation in the auction. Reserves have been approved at six sites, and predicted resources have been tested at all sites. The geography of auctions covers the regions: Trans-Baikal Territory, Magadan Region, Yakutia, Primorsky Territory, Sverdlovsk and Kemerovo Regions, Altai Territory, North Ossetia-Alania, Bashkortostan, Karelia and Murmansk Region.
In the Trans-Baikal Territory, three areas have been identified, two of which are rich in lead and zinc:
- Vozdvyzhenskaya Square – contains more than 23 thousand tons of lead, 42 thousand tons of zinc, as well as predicted resources of 417.9 thousand tons of lead, 171.5 thousand tons of zinc and 135.9 tons of silver.
- Ivanovskaya Square – includes 99 thousand tons of lead, 165.4 thousand tons of zinc, 494.1 tons of silver and 7.9 tons of gold.
- Bugarichtinskaya Square – has predicted gold resources of 14.5 tons.
In Yakutia the following will be presented at the auction:
- Delyankirskaya Square with predicted gold resources of 22.7 tons in the P1 category and 92.5 tons in the P2 category.
- Flanks of the Deputatsky ore cluster – reserves include more than 6 thousand tons of silver, 328 thousand tons of lead and 313 thousand tons of zinc.
Additionally up for auction:
- Irkutsk region – Kuduskit area with gold reserves of 19 tons.
- Magadan region – Chalbykan-Khiltanskaya area with predicted resources of 5.6 tons of gold in category P1.
Holding auctions for subsoil use in 2025 will be a significant stage for the development of the domestic mining industry. It is expected that the sale of these deposits will attract investment and strengthen Russia’s position in the field of mining.
