The Rosneft company reports significant progress in the processing of associated petroleum gas (APG). Thanks to large-scale investments and the introduction of unique technologies It was possible not only to increase economic efficiency, but also to achieve a significant reduction in environmental impact.

As part of the strategic gas program, Rosneft is directing multibillion-dollar investments to increase the level of APG utilization. Since 2013, the total volume of investments in these projects has exceeded 303 billion rubles. All new deposits From the very beginning, companies are equipped with modern systems for the rational use of gas.

Special results were achieved through the introduction of innovations. For example, last year a patented technology for purifying APG from hydrogen sulfide began operating at the Vakhitovskaya group of fields. This decision made it possible to sharply increase the daily volumes of processed gas from 20 to 80 thousand cubic meters. It is expected that over five years this development will bring an economic effect of over 1 billion rubles.

At the same time, the company is actively implementing an energy saving program. Its key result is a consistent reduction in greenhouse gas emissions. Last year alone, this figure was reduced by 1.1 million tons of CO2 equivalent. Rosneft’s strategic goal is to reduce emissions by 4.7 million tons by 2030.

An integrated approach to the use of associated petroleum gas demonstrates high efficiency. It not only brings the company direct savings in fuel and energy resources, which last year reached 363 thousand tons of standard fuel, but also makes a significant contribution to preserving the environment of Russia. The further development of these projects remains an important priority for the company.
