The Federal Agency for Subsoil Use Rosnedra plans to hold two auctions for the right to develop deposits by the end of 2025 placer gold in the Magadan region. The sites are located in the gold-bearing Yagodninsky district, which makes them attractive to mining companies.
The licenses will give the winning bidders the exclusive right to geological study, exploration and subsequent extraction of precious metal. We are talking about two promising objects. The first site is located on the Bokhapcha River, and the second is located in the Yasny Creek area. Both of them belong to the basin of the mighty Kolyma River, known for its rich reserves.
The volume of gold reserves in these territories has already been confirmed by preliminary exploration. At the Bokhapcha field, C1 category reserves are estimated at 102 kilograms. The site on the Yasny stream has somewhat greater potential – its reserves amount to 115 kilograms of the precious metal. These data make projects interesting for investors planning development in one of the key gold mining regions.
The Yagodninsky municipal district is consistently among the leaders in terms of alluvial gold mining in Kolyma. The high concentration of mining enterprises creates a developed infrastructure here, which makes it easier for new players to start work. Today, 43 companies engaged in the mining of precious metals already operate in the district.
Thus, the new Rosnedra auctions open up the opportunity for subsoil users to strengthen their positions in a strategically important region. The sale of licenses will stimulate the further development of the gold mining industry in the Far East and will attract additional investment into the economy of the Magadan region.
