The first All-Russian forum dedicated to the development of placer mining was successfully held in Khabarovsk gold mining. The event brought together subsoil users, experts and representatives of government agencies for an open dialogue and solutions to key problems in the industry.
The forum “Russian Placer Gold: Development Paths, Regulation, Technologies” took place on August 18-19. It was attended by specialists from Rosnedra, GKZ, RGE, TsNIGRI, as well as the government of the Khabarovsk Territory. Participants discussed current mining issues, changes in legislation, environmental standards and new technologies.
The organizers of the forum – chairman of the organizing committee Sergei Davydov and director of the MINEX Group of Companies Natalia Tarasova – noted the high significance of the event. According to them, the main task was to create a platform for direct dialogue between business and government. This made it possible to openly discuss difficult issues and identify solutions.
The result of the forum will be a resolution with proposals from subsoil users, which will be sent to Rosnedra and the Federation Council. The organizers plan to make the event an annual event and supplement it with thematic meetings and working sessions.
An important goal of the project is to create a sustainable ecosystem for interaction between business, government and society. Particular attention is paid to supporting reputable companies and promoting best practices in the industry. An information portal is also being developed to quickly resolve emerging problems.
The forum became the starting point for systemic changes in the placer mining industry. gold mining and laid the foundation for an annual professional dialogue.
