The modernization of the air gates is planned to be completed by 2030. The water pipeline that supplies the city, villages and mines will be repaired at a cost of 945 million rubles. The work will take place over the next three years.

A modern waste sorting complex with a landfill will appear in the village of Severny. Object cost — 1.2 billion rubles. The old landfill is being liquidated and the land is being reclaimed. Part of these expenses will be covered by a treasury infrastructure loan of one and a half billion rubles, approved for the region until 2030.

The same money will be used to repair nine kilometers of the ring road connecting Vorkuta with coal production, and to put in order the Miners’ Palace of Culture, an architectural monument and symbol of the city.

The master plan also includes the improvement of the central square and Enlightenment Square, the development of the Timansky ravine with a new pedestrian bridge and the repair of the crossing over Vorkuta.
