Canadian company Newcore Gold has reported drilling results from its Enchi gold project in Ghana. Hole KBRC411 intersected one of the widest and richest zones in the history of work at the Boin deposit: 69 meters grading 2.59 grams of gold per tonne. Within that interval, a 24-meter section stands out at 6.41 grams. This opens the way to optimizing the future mine.

Hole KBRC411, drilled in the central part of the deposit, showed an interval from 58 to 127 meters. The average grade was 2.59 grams per tonne, with a higher-grade section from 59 to 83 meters registering 6.41 grams. Another hole, KBRC414, located 100 meters to the south, intersected 32 meters at 0.83 grams, including a six-meter section at 3.37 grams. Hole KBRC404, located half a kilometer south of the first, returned 22 meters at 0.68 grams and a seven-meter interval at 1.64 grams.

In total, this release covers results from seven holes totaling 960 meters. All of them intersected gold mineralization. Since the start of the program at Enchi, 47,100 meters have been drilled across 295 holes, with 99% confirming the presence of gold.

Newcore President and CEO Luke Alexander called the result one of the best in the project’s history. According to him, drilling continues to demonstrate potential for optimizing the mine and incorporating additional high-grade zones into future studies.

Work at Enchi is focused on three objectives: resource conversion, resource growth, and new discoveries. Reverse-circulation drilling targets near-surface mineralization, while diamond drilling targets high-grade zones at depth. So far, only the first 28,000 meters of the program have been incorporated into the updated resource estimate and preliminary economic assessment.

The Boin deposit remains open along strike and at depth. About 40% of the gold-bearing anomaly has yet to be tested by drilling, and the average hole depth barely reaches 100 meters. Newcore Gold has room for further growth in its resource base and for strengthening the future mine’s economics.
