Norilsk Nickel presented the Center for Palladium Technologies, which will develop and implement innovative palladium-based materials. By 2030, the company plans to create up to 100 new products.
At the Forum of Future Technologies, PJSC MMC Norilsk Nickel announced the creation of a Center for Palladium Technologies. The main task of the center is the development, testing and implementation of new palladium-based materials. Today the center’s portfolio includes 25 projects, and by 2030 their number is planned to increase to 100.
The center actively cooperates with leading scientific organizations in Russia. To speed up the implementation of projects, Norilsk Nickel is developing infrastructure with the support of the Moscow Innovation Cluster. This year the company will open a modern laboratory where specialists will study the properties and synthesis of materials based on platinum group metals.
One of the center’s key projects is the development of spunbond feeders made of palladium alloys for the production of fiberglass. This material is widely used in the construction industry and high-tech industries. In addition, the center is negotiating with the largest industrial companies in the world to take into account current market demands.
Norilsk Nickel, the world’s largest palladium producer, continues to strengthen its position in the field of innovation. The creation of the Palladium Technology Center is an important step in the development of new materials that can change the future of the industry.
