Udinsk Gold Company (part of the Polyus group) and Pacific State university agreed on strategic cooperation. Their joint efforts will be aimed at strengthening the human resources potential of the mining industry in the Far Eastern region. The agreement was an important step in development education and employment.
As part of the partnership, TNU became the first university in the Khabarovsk Territory in the Polyus educational network. One of the first projects will be the launch of the Polyus-Class program. This initiative will introduce schoolchildren to careers in the mining and engineering sectors. University students will have access to practical training and internships at company enterprises in the Khabarovsk Territory.
Cooperation covers a wide range of areas. The partners will modernize training courses, organize career events and support scientific research. All projects are non-commercial in nature and are aimed at developing practical skills in students that are in demand in gold mining industry.
General Director of Udinsk Gold Maxim Arzhannikov noted the strategic importance of including the Khabarovsk Territory in the company’s educational ecosystem. He expressed confidence that PNU, with its high potential, will become a reliable partner in training qualified specialists for Polyus’ Far Eastern projects.
For his part, PNU Rector Yuri Marfin emphasized the university’s desire for close ties with the real sector of the economy. He added that working with the gold mining leader will make the training more applied and will increase the competitiveness of graduates in the labor market. This partnership opens up new opportunities for future professionals.
