The Rosneft company continues large-scale work to reduce harmful emissions. From 2013 to 2024 investments projects for the use of associated petroleum gas (APG) exceeded 303 billion rubles. These measures help reduce our carbon footprint and make our operations more environmentally friendly.

As part of the Investment Gas Program, Rosneft is actively implementing modern solutions for APG processing. In 2024 alone, the company commissioned 9 new facilities, including installations for gas injection and power generation. This allows not only to reduce harmful emissions, but also to increase the energy efficiency of production.

Particular attention is paid to innovation. For example, Orenburgneft specialists have developed and patented a technology for purifying APG from hydrogen sulfide and mercaptans. Its application at Vakhitovsky field increased gas processing volumes from 20 to 80 thousand m³ per day. It is expected that the economic effect of this technology will exceed 1 billion rubles in five years.

Thanks to the energy saving program, Rosneft has already achieved significant results. In 2024, greenhouse gas emissions decreased by 1.1 million tons of CO₂ equivalent, and savings in fuel and energy resources amounted to 363 thousand tons of fuel equivalent. By 2030, the company plans to reduce emissions by another 4.7 million tons.

Rosneft demonstrates a serious approach to the environment, investing hundreds of billions of rubles in the processing of associated gas. The introduction of new technologies and the construction of modern facilities help the company not only reduce its harmful impact on the environment, but also increase the economic efficiency of production.
