In July, Rosprirodnadzor issued positive conclusions on three significant projects in the field gold mining. We are talking about the developments of Polyus, Polymetal and Highland Gold companies, which will be able to expand their production capacities.
Key projects:
- Polyus Sukhoi Log
The department approved the project of a gold mining enterprise at field “Sukhoi Log” in the Irkutsk region. It is planned that by 2033 more than 650 tons of gold will be mined here. For the first few years, ore will be processed at the Verninskaya gold processing plant, and from 2028 a factory will be operational at the deposit itself.
- “Polymetal”
The company received permission to develop the Talgi field in the Khabarovsk Territory. Ore mining has already begun here, and industrial operation will start before the end of 2025. Every year it is planned to extract up to 800 thousand tons of ore, which will be processed at the Albazinsky factory.
- “Highland Gold”
The Belaya Gora project in the Khabarovsk Territory provides for the expansion of dumps for the further operation of quarries. This will increase production volumes and improve the field infrastructure.
The approval of these projects will accelerate the development of the gold mining industry in Russia. Companies will be able to increase production, create new jobs and contribute to the regional economy.
The decision of Rosprirodnadzor opens up new prospects for gold mining companies. The implementation of these projects will strengthen Russia’s position in the global precious metals market.
