The head of the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources, Alexander Kozlov, discussed with the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources of Saudi Arabia, Bandar Al-Khoreyef, the prospects for joint work in geological exploration and mining. The negotiations confirmed the mutual interest of the countries in developing partnership.
Russia is ready to share its experience in the field of geological exploration and processing of mineral raw materials. The Saudi side showed particular interest in Russian technologies searching for groundwater, which is extremely important for the arid region. The possibilities of joint reconnaissance were also discussed deposits on the Arabian Shield and in the Red Sea.
Among the priorities are the extraction of rare earth metals, lithium and uranium. Russian specialists will take part in the Future Minerals Forum in Riyadh in 2026. In addition, the parties agreed to create a working group to implement joint projects.
Cooperation between Russia and Saudi Arabia in the field of subsoil use opens up new opportunities for both countries. Technology exchange and joint work will help effectively develop mineral resources.
