The company received state certificates of discovery of objects whose total reserves in categories C1+C2 exceeded 5.4 tons of precious metal. Now the company has a pre-emptive right to obtain licenses for the development of these areas.
One of the finds is the Chulkovskoye deposit, where 3,767.6 kilograms were explored gold. The metal content of the rock here is estimated at 1.77 grams per ton. Geologists have been searching in this area since 2021, drilling 75 wells with a total length of 8.4 thousand linear meters, going through 40 ditches and sending more than 11 thousand samples for analysis.
The second object, named Khokhoi, is located on the ore field of the same name and contains 1,636 kilograms of gold, but the ore here is of higher quality – an average of 2.75 grams per ton. In this area, 130 wells (4 thousand linear meters) were drilled, 20 ditches were passed, and about 5.9 thousand analyzes were performed.
As Sergey Tatarinov, General Director of Seligdar PJSC, emphasized, the discoveries were the result of many years of systematic work to expand the mineral resource base. Prior to this, the holding’s specialists had already successfully completed a similar project at the Ryabchik field, located in the same Aldan region.
Exploration at both sites was carried out jointly with JSC Rosgeologiya. The company expects to increase reserves in the next two years due to geological exploration work by a total of 43.4 tons of gold, with the main increase expected at operating assets in Yakutia.
Seligdar is one of the leading gold mining holdings in Russia. Its production facilities are located in seven federal subjects: Yakutia, Buryatia, Irkutsk and Orenburg regions, Altai and Khabarovsk territories, Chukotka Autonomous Okrug. As of the beginning of 2025, the total gold reserves at the company’s fields amounted to 285 tons.
New discoveries in the Aldan region not only strengthen the holding’s position, but also create the basis for infrastructure development and the creation of jobs in the region. This is further confirmation of the effectiveness of the exploration strategy chosen by the company.
