PIMCU im. E.P. Slavskoye, part of the Rosatom state corporation, received a license to develop the Shirondukuyskoye field in Transbaikalia. Significant reserves of uranium and molybdenum were discovered at the site, which opens up new prospects for the development of the region and the nuclear industry.
PIMCU (Priargunskoye Production Mining and Chemical Association) became the holder of a license for the right to subsoil use of the Shirondukuiskoye deposit. The license was transferred to the company after an open tender that met all legal requirements.
According to preliminary estimates, the deposit contains about 8,000 tons of uranium and 40 tons of molybdenum. These resources are of strategic importance for the Russian nuclear industry. Preparatory work has already begun: technical documentation is being developed, the necessary equipment is being selected, including ventilation systems.
PIMCU General Director Ivan Kiselev emphasized that the development of new areas will ensure the long-term and sustainable development of the enterprise. In addition, this will provide the opportunity to flexibly plan mining operations, adapting to changing market conditions.
The development of the Shirondukui field will be an important step to strengthen Russia’s position in the nuclear industry. PIMCU continues to expand its activities, contributing to the development of Transbaikalia and providing the country with strategically important resources.
