The autumn holidays will become a time of real scientific discoveries for children from 10 to 14 years old. From October 27 to October 31 at the legendary Institute Karpinsky will host a geo-workshop “With a Mind and a Hammer”. This is a unique chance to immerse yourself in a fascinating world geology and paleontology.
Young researchers will enjoy a rich program developed by experienced teachers and scientists. They will be able not only to gain new knowledge, but also to apply it in practice. Instead of boring lessons, children will have classes with modern microscopes, where they will examine real minerals. Children will also learn the basics field works, including a master class on setting up tents.
The program includes exciting excursions around the closed areas of the institute. Participants will visit a museum with a unique collection, get acquainted with the work of a cartographic factory and visit a scientific library. To develop creative abilities, there is a master class on how to design an eco-friendly shopping bag. Each child will receive a special workbook that will help reveal their research talent and character.
The organizers took care of three full meals a day for all participants. The project offers the perfect balance between learning, practice and fun.
