In Transbaikalia, a project for the construction of a mining and processing plant at Ermakovsky has been approved field. The new enterprise will mine beryllium, a strategic metal for high-tech industries.
Specialists from Glavgosexpertiza of the Russian Federation approved the construction project of the Ermakovsky mining and processing plant in Transbaikalia. The capacity of the new enterprise will be up to 30 thousand tons of ore per year. It is planned to use the open-pit method to extract valuable raw materials.
As part of the project, a modern enrichment plant, a crushing and screening complex and warehouses for storing finished products, reagents and cake will be built. It also provides for the creation of all the necessary infrastructure: technological roads, utilities and auxiliary structures.
The implementation of this important project will be supported by the Far East Development Corporation. The launch of the plant will significantly reduce the dependence of Russian enterprises on imported beryllium supplies. This metal plays a key role in nuclear power, electronics, aerospace and specialty alloys.
The development of the Ermakovskoye beryllium deposit is of strategic importance for the technological independence of Russia. The new production will create jobs and give impetus to the development of the Trans-Baikal Territory.
