The Vostochny quarry, owned by the Polyus company, was officially included in the Russian Book of Records. This achievement is due to the depth of the object, which reached 880 meters. Now Vostochny is considered the deepest open-pit gold mine in the country.
The Vostochny quarry impresses not only with its depth, but also with its impressive size. The area of the quarry field is 3.45 by 2.13 kilometers. Such a scale requires powerful equipment: more than 100 pieces of large equipment are used at the site. Among them are dump trucks, excavators, drilling rigs and other specialized equipment. All work is carried out around the clock, which ensures a high level of production.
Over four decades, the quarry produced over 269 million tons of ore. The Polyus company does not stop there. It actively implements advanced technologies, including automation and digitalization systems for managing the mining and transport complex. These measures are aimed at increasing the efficiency and safety of production processes.
The Vostochny quarry has become not only a symbol of technological progress, but also a new standard for the Russian mining industry. With the achievement of a depth of 880, the leadership of the Polyus company in the field of gold mining was confirmed. There are new heights ahead, and this record is just one of the steps on the path to further success.
