EVRAZ continues to actively participate in the federal program “Professionality”, aimed at training qualified personnel for industry. One of the key projects is the creation of a modern training center on the basis of the Nizhny Tagil Mining and Metallurgical College (NTMMC). More than 345 million rubles have been allocated for these purposes from the federal and regional budgets.
The new center will unite three educational institutions: NTGMC, Kachkanar Mining and Industrial College and Vysokogorsk Multidisciplinary Technical School. 14 workshops equipped with advanced equipment will open here. This will allow students to gain practical skills that meet the requirements of modern production.
The participation of companies in educational projects helps adapt training programs to the needs of enterprises. Students will be able to get acquainted with profession metallurgist, which will speed up their adaptation to employment. Additional motivation is one-time payments upon admission and corporate scholarships from EVRAZ.
With the support of the company, a Center for Digital Engineering was opened at the Siberian State Industrial University (SibGIU). Its equipment includes a 3D laser scanner, a 5D printer, a lathe and specialized software. This gives students the opportunity to not only design parts, but also immediately manufacture them.
EVRAZ also helps develop the Kuznetsk Industrial and Metallurgical College, the Novokuznetsk Transport and Technology College and the Tashtagol College of Mining Technologies. The company relies on training its own personnel in order to avoid a shortage of specialists in the future.
Thanks to such initiatives, students receive a quality education and a confident start in the profession, and enterprises receive trained and motivated employees.
