On June 3, 2025, the final of the XIII International Engineering Championship CASE-IN took place in Moscow. In a solemn ceremony, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Olga Petrova presented medals to the winning teams. This year, representatives from 10 countries took part in the competition, and the main awards were won by students from 24 universities from Russia and Uzbekistan.
The CASE-IN Championship in 2025 has become truly international. It was attended by:
- 833 schoolchildren and 6624 students from Russia;
- 366 young specialists Russian companies;
- 110 representatives from the CIS and BRICS+ countries, including Azerbaijan, Belarus, Egypt, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Uzbekistan and South Africa.
211 teams reached the finals, of which 57 became winners. The geography of participants underlines the growing authority of the championship as a key platform for young engineers.
The greatest number of awards were won by:
- St. Petersburg Mining University – 5 medals
- UMMC Technical University – 4 awards
- Tomsk Polytechnic University – 3 medals.
In total, students from 23 Russian universities from 18 regions and 1 university from Uzbekistan (MISIS branch in Almalyk) received medals. Other participants include: Moscow Energy Institute (NRU “MPEI”), Siberian Federal University, Kazan University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Don State Technical University
Olga Petrova emphasized that CASE-IN helps solve the problem of shortage of engineering personnel. The best participants will receive:
- Benefits for admission to master’s and postgraduate programs (56 universities in Russia);
- Additional Unified State Examination points for schoolchildren (161 universities);
- Internships in leading companies with employment opportunities.
The championship is held with the participation of the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Construction of Russia, 170 companies in the fuel and energy sector, metallurgy and construction, and the Platform “Russia is a Land of Opportunities”.
The project is part of the Science to Win initiative of the Decade of Science and Technology, which confirms its importance for the economy.
CASE-IN brings together talented youth, offering real career trajectories. Participation in the championship is not only prestige, but also a step towards success in the profession. In 2025, the geography of participants has expanded and the level of competition has increased, which makes victory especially valuable.
