The Kampoisk company is preparing to begin field work at the promising Kedrovoye site in Kamchatka. In 2027, the company expects to confirm up to 30 tons of precious metals in gold equivalent and get closer to the discovery deposits the scale of Khakanja or Dome.

A new deposit of precious metals may appear in Kamchatka. The Kampoisk company plans to carry out prospecting and verification work in 2026 at the Kedrovoye site, which is part of the Okhotsk-Chukotka volcanic belt – one of the most promising regions of Russia in terms of gold content.

According to the company’s geologists, the predicted resources of the Ignimbrite and Zerkalny areas, located in the basins of the Khayoklan and Inmokva rivers, may be about 280 tons in gold equivalent. Kampoisk notes that the structural features of the area allow us to expect a deposit comparable in scale to such objects as Khakanja (reserves of over 60 tons of gold), Svetloye (more than 50 tons) and Kupol, known for its 180 tons of reserves.

The volume of investments in geological exploration for 2026 is estimated at 200 million rubles, and total investments in the search and evaluation stage (until 2028) can reach 830 million. In the 2026 season, the company plans to perform about 3 thousand linear meters of drilling.

The Ignimbritovy (95.1 sq. km) and Zerkalny (99.76 sq. km) areas, where research is being carried out, belong to Kampoisk LLC on the basis of licenses issued until 2028. These territories are located in the continental part of the Kamchatka Territory, near the borders with the Magadan Region and Chukotka. According to the company, the proven resources of the Mirror area amount to 13.34 tons of gold and over 11 thousand tons of silver.

If Kampoisk’s forecasts are confirmed, Kedrovoye could become one of the largest discoveries in Kamchatka in recent years. The new project is capable of giving impetus to the development of the region and strengthening the position of the Far East in the mining of precious metals.
