Norilsk Nickel expands partnership with Yandex and 1C to implement advanced digital solutions. The agreement was signed at the CIPR-2025 conference and covers key areas: cloud services, artificial intelligence and data protection.
With Yandex, Norilsk Nickel will develop:
- Cloud platforms for secure data storage and processing.
- Machine learning tools for industrial tasks.
- HR technologies and office applications for employees.
- Solutions for big data analysis and hosting.
The modernization of corporate systems based on the 1C platform will continue with 1C.
Liana Ermishina, Norilsk Nickel vice president for IT, noted that the partnership will allow:
- Accelerate the digitalization of production.
- Increase the efficiency of working with data.
- Strengthen the company’s technological independence.
“Joint projects with market leaders create synergy. Norilsk Nickel’s experience in industry is complemented by Yandex’s innovations, which will open up new opportunities for the industry,” Ermishina emphasized.
In the coming years, companies will focus on implementing AI and cloud solutions, which will increase Norilsk Nickel’s competitiveness. The partnership will also be a step towards the development of the B2B direction of Yandex.
