At the largest industry platform – the conference “Digital Industry of Industrial Russia” – the Norilsk Nickel company presented four promising developments for the mining and processing industries.
- MAGMA Geo – analyzes and systematizes geological data.
- MAGMA Plan – optimizes production planning minerals.
- MAGMA Control – controls underground mining operations in real time.
- Axioma – predicts air pollution levels using AI.
The MAGMA platform, combining the first three systems, will be ready by the end of 2025, and production testing will begin a year later.
Axioma is a Russian development that uses artificial intelligence and digital twins. The system has already been tested at Norilsk Nickel facilities and is ready for implementation at other industrial enterprises. The launch into commercial operation is planned for the end of 2025.
“It is important for us to create domestic technologies,” said Sergei Malyshev, First Vice President of Norilsk Nickel. — Axioma is an example of a finished product that can be scaled across different industries. We are currently discussing with the state the regulatory framework for the use of AI in environmental monitoring.”
Norilsk Nickel’s developments are aimed at increasing the efficiency and environmental safety of industry. The company is betting on digitalization and plans to actively introduce new technologies in the coming years.
