Rosnedra will simplify access for subsoil users to information in closed registers. Companies will be able to quickly receive information about their activities through their personal account.
Subsoil users will have direct access to their data in closed registers of Rosgeolfond. This was announced by the head of Rosnedra O. Kazanov at the Mining Forum. The new mechanism will simplify interaction with the regulator and speed up procedures.
Currently, subsoil users face difficulties in obtaining information about their own activities. Closed registries of plots subsoil and licenses require manual processing of requests. Companies cannot quickly track data on their work, which is especially noticeable when contacting the State Reserves Commission.
“In the near future, access will be implemented through the personal account of the subsoil user,” noted O. Kazanov. This will allow companies to independently work with information from registers relating to their activities.
Restrictions on access to geological bases were introduced in 2024 as anti-sanctions measures. Since February, authorization on Rosgeolfond resources is possible only through State Services. In May, the government suspended the access to information clause until the end of 2027. In June, the list of open data was reduced to basic information about licenses.
“These are temporary solutions aimed at protecting data from unfriendly actions,” the head of Rosnedra emphasized. At the same time, the department took into account the request of business and developed a mechanism for secure access to the necessary information.
Additionally, Rosnedra is working on creating a specialized service similar to the inspection of land plots in construction. Subsoil users will be able to check in advance whether their applications do not overlap with existing restrictions or licenses.
New solutions will reduce the administrative burden on companies and departments. The application procedure will become simpler and more transparent. This will speed up decision making and increase efficiency in the mining industry.
Previously, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Rosnedra already simplified procedures for subsoil users. In October 2025, the procedure for establishing the fact of opening was updated deposits. Now the document can be issued not only for the main type of raw material, but also for associated minerals. This allows fields to be brought into development faster.
