Experts from Russia and China agreed to form a joint alliance for the integrated development of mineral resources. This important development opens up new prospects for cooperation in the mining sector.
The initiative was presented at the X International Scientific Conference in Harbin, which was dedicated to the problems of development of georesources. Participants discussed modern methods safe mining, ore processing, as well as environmental issues and economic efficiency of working with subsoil. In total, more than 320 experts from leading scientific centers of the two countries took part in the event.
The main outcome of the meeting was the establishment of the Sino-Russian Alliance for the Development of Mineral Resources. It included reputable Russian institutions, including Khabarovsk and Siberian research centers, as well as Chinese scientific and educational institutions.
Another significant step was the opening of a joint laboratory for intelligent mines at Heilongjiang University of Science and Technology. At this site, it is planned to actively develop and test new technologies for the extraction and processing of minerals.
Experts are confident that joining forces will significantly speed up the implementation of innovative solutions in the mining industry. The exchange of experience and the application of best practices will have a positive impact on the sustainable development of the sector and will increase the efficiency of use of mineral resources in both countries.
