The first interregional Olympiad among future athletes ended in Yakutia geologists. College students from Yakutia and Magadan took part in it. The winners received valuable prizes and benefits for admission to NEFU.
The Ministry of Industry and Geology of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) together with the North-Eastern Federal University organized the first Olympiad for young geologists Far East. The event was held within the framework of the federal project “Geology: Revival of the Legend 2.0”, supported by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The main goal of the Olympiad is to identify talented students who can contribute to the development of the geological industry. Participants demonstrated the knowledge and skills necessary to work in the Far East.
The winners received additional points for admission to the geological exploration faculty of NEFU. Awards also included smart speakers for studying, portable chargers for field work, and specialized literature from industry experts.
The organizers noted the high interest of young people in geology and plan to expand the geography of the Olympiad, involving other regions of the Far East. The first interregional Olympiad of geologists proved its relevance professions among young people. Such initiatives help prepare qualified personnel for the implementation of large projects in the field of geology.
