The country’s first testing complex, Granit, was presented in Orenburg. The complex tests surface and underground drilling rigs, recreating real operating drilling conditions: testing traction and pushing forces, rotation of the drill pipe under load, and simulating emergency situations. This allows you to identify weak points and prevent breakdowns at the production stage.
The technological innovation is equipped AI, which speeds up fault localization. The complex records the condition, damage, wear, correct operation of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical components, analyzes the integrity of connections and safety systems. For customers, all collected data is available remotely through cloud services, which simplifies maintenance forecasting and repair planning.
The ZBO S15 drilling rig, which is capable of extracting core from depths of up to 1,500 meters and operating in difficult climatic conditions, has already been tested at the testing complex.
The use of the Granit complex will strengthen quality control geological exploration equipment, will increase the reliability of equipment and safety employees. Intelligent systems will become the new diagnostic standard in the drilling industry, helping manufacturers remain competitive and support the sustainability of the industry.
The material was prepared with the support of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science as part of the Decade of Science and Technology.
